Locate the wallplate: Now the next stage is to locate wall plate. You need to keep a pencil with you before locating wallplate. To place new system’s wall plate on the wall, you need to use the pencil to mark its position. Drill holes at the place where you have marked the pencil. Put your thermostat’s wallplate over the anchors and try to insert the screws then tighten all screws carefully.
Attach the wires to the thermostat: The next stage is to connect the cables to your programmable thermostat. You need to use screwdrivers to fasten the cables, and you should attach the wires to their corresponding terminals. Tighten the terminals, and install the batteries.
Install batteries: When you have attached all wires to their corresponding terminals. You need to install batteries. For this purpose you should, you must have two AA batteries. Did you know the thermostat’s batteries could be changed without removing the entire system? So you need to be careful while installing the batteries.
Attach control panel and faceplate: In this step, you should attach control panel as well as the face plate for your newer model thermostat. You just connect the system to the place where you marked the location with your pencil. Just drill the marked holes and insert the thermostat.
Program your thermostat according to your schedule: Now, it is the final and fascinating step. Program the system as mentioned in the user guide and follow all steps one by one. If you have the seven-day programmable thermostat, you could set it for the weekend or vocations. I should mention here that a thermostat could run four cycles within a day. So you should turn up your system 30 minutes before leaving your home and set your thermostat’s temperature according to your schedule so that when you wake up your system should start work and it should stop working when you leave your home. When you come back your thermostat should return to start working again. So, enjoy your thermostat setting according to your routine.
